We equip job seekers by providing customized employment skills training, job search assistance, job placement opportunities and additional essential supports as a foundation for achieving meaningful income. Services are available by drop-in or appointment for youth and adults at multiple YSM locations.

Do you offer support with transportation?
We may be able to offer support for transportation as a part of the program you are registered in.
What financial support do you provide?
Financial supports vary depending on the program you are registered in, but your Employment Counsellor will work with you to understand your needs and explain the types of supports we are able to provide. If you need support with having the appropriate clothing for an interview, we can provide you with a voucher to shop at our Double Take Thrift Store.
I am an international student. Can you help me?
We are able to provide general information and assistance to international students, but unable to register international students into the employment programs.
Do I need a referral?
You can call us to get information on our programs or drop by our location at 270 Gerrard Street East or 365 Spadina Avenue (for youth) to get information.
Do I need ID to access the services?
Yes, we will need to see your government issued identification in order to register you into the program.
Will my placement affect OW or ODSP?
How quickly will I get a job (placement)?
Our goal is to support you in getting and keeping a job. Once we understand your pre-employment needs and career goals, we will be able support you in finding a role that is the right fit for you.
What happens after my work experience is done?
When your work experience is finished, it is possible that the same employer would hire you. You can also utilize the job search skills you have acquired to find another position and our team will be there to support you in that.
What if I lose my job?

Can I join virtually?
Some of our programs are held in person and some are a mix of in person and virtual. Before you register, we will make sure that all of the requirements are clear.
Is the Enhanced Employment Assisted Services (EEAS) paid training?
There is no payment associated with the training, but while you are in the Opportunities Fund program, we are able to support you with transportation to get to and from the workshops and support you with other emergency needs you may have to help you to succeed.
Can you write a letter for my case worker?
We understand that everyone’s situation is unique. If your case worker requires a letter of participation/enrollment we can certainly provide you with one.
